The much-anticipated Dolly Parton musical, ‘Here You Come Again,’ has announced its UK tour dates, leading up to its debut in London’s West End. This production, which first captivated audiences across the Atlantic, is set to premiere this summer as a highlight of the Leeds Playhouse season.

Created by two-time Emmy award-winning comedy writer and songwriter Bruce Vilanch, in collaboration with director Gabriel Barre and actress Tricia Paoluccio (portraying Dolly Parton), the musical has been skillfully adapted for the UK audience by Jonathan Harvey, known for his work on ‘Gimme, Gimme, Gimme’ and ‘Coronation Street’. This adaptation is a joint venture with Simon Friend Entertainment.

The narrative centers around a devoted Dolly Parton fan, whose imaginative encounters with the international superstar provide solace during challenging times. The show features a collection of Parton’s beloved hits, including ‘Jolene’, ‘9 to 5’, ‘Islands in the Stream’, ‘I Will Always Love You’, and the titular ‘Here You Come Again’.

The musical’s journey begins at Leeds, running from Saturday, 11 May, through Saturday, 8 June 2024. Following Leeds, the tour includes performances at Curve Leicester, Theatre Royal Newcastle, aboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Theatre Royal Nottingham, Liverpool Playhouse, Cliffs Pavilion Southend, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, Theatre Royal Brighton, Alexandra Theatre Birmingham, Sheffield Lyceum, Richmond Theatre, Glasgow King’s Theatre, Theatre Royal Norwich, New Victoria Theatre Woking, the Lowry in Salford, and concluding at Milton Keynes Theatre in November. Dates for its West End run, along with further tour locations, are yet to be announced.

Casting details and additional creative team members for this eagerly awaited musical production will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

  1. Hi! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you
using for this website? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers
and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
