Artists in gay rights benefit
Patty Duke and other members of the San Francisco cast of “Wicked” and Carmen Cusack, star of the touring production of “South Pacific,” join forces with a host of leading local and national artists for a benefit concert for gay and lesbian civil rights Monday at the Palace of Fine Arts Theater.
Among the many other performers scheduled to appear at “Defying Inequality: The San Francisco Concert,” a benefit for Marriage Equality USA and Garden State Equality, are Bruce Vilanch, Emmy winner Judy Gold, Ryan Rigazzi of “Beach Blanket Babylon,” singer-songwriter Matt Alber and the cabaret duo of Meg Mackay and Billy Philadelphia.
