Mr. Vukovich, Bruce’s musical director for “Hairspray”, informed me that when the musical hits Chicago in February he (Mr. Vukovich) is planning a benefit that will include the “Hairspray” cast.
“Bruce is going to be the emcee. It will be 2 shows on the evening of February 9th. The show will feature the music of Marc Shaiman. Marc is the composer of Hairspray. Marc will also be performing in the benefit. It’s going to take place in a small intimate cabaret club in Chicago…it’s a benefit for two homes in the Chicago area that house people who are homeless and are also afflicted with HIV/AIDS. The homes are named The Bonaventure House and The Harbor.”
As soon as there is more info, I’ll tell those who’d like to attend how to get tickets. It should be a wonderful night and for such a good cause…
