Osmond’s “Pyramid” Hosts “Broadway Week”

Former pop star Donny Osmond ? who scored a success in the tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ? will welcome a host of theatre guests to the syndicated game show “Pyramid” next month.The revamped version of the classic game show, hosted by Osmond, will feature several theatre stars during the first week of November. On Nov. 3 Taboo producer Rosie O’Donnell and recent Cabaret star Neil Patrick Harris will help contestants try to win the $25,000 grand prize. The Producers’ Jason Alexander and original Dreamgirls star Loretta Devine are scheduled for Nov. 4. The following day, Bruce Vilanch ? star of the Hairspray tour ? and Avenue Q’s Stephanie D’Abruzzo will try to climb the “Pyramid.” D’Abruzzo will play the game with Kate Monster, the boyfriend searching puppet from her hit musical at the Golden Theatre. Rosie O’Donnell and Neil Patrick Harris return for the Nov. 5 program, and the week will conclude with The Violet Hour’s Mario Cantone and former pop star Deborah Gibson, whose most recent Broadway outing was as Sally Bowles in Cabaret.

The producers of “Pyramid” have also generously donated $30,000 to the fundraising organization Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
