Still Waiting in the Wings

The new film Still Waiting in the Wings is an all-star musical homage to Broadway. The film will be released worldwide on May 15, 2020, on DVD and all digital platforms. Directed by Q. Allan Brocka and written by Jeffrey A. Johns and Arie Gonzalez. The cast includes Jeffrey A. Johns, Joe Abraham, Rena Strober, Adam Huss, Blake Peyrot, Harrison White, and Rebekah Kochan, with special appearances by Nick Adams, Ed Asner, Carole Cook, Lee Meriwether, Patricia Richardson, Chita Rivera, Seth Rudetsky, Sally Struthers, Bruce Vilanch, and Cindy Williams.

The stars sing and dance while living the reality of slinging hash under the florescent lights at Times Square’s famed “Café Broadway.” The movie features original songs by Danny Abosch, Andrew Byrne, Ken Clifton, Arie Gonzalez, Paul Louis, Matthew Lee Robinson, Nick Santa Maria, Ruth Wallis, and Michael Whitney, with choreography by Cassie Nordgren, Arianna Hyatt, and Lee Martino.

Plot Summary:

Still Waiting In The Wings follows the trials and triumphs of of actors waiting tables in Times Square. While dreaming of the Broadway stage, the reality of slinging hash under florescent lights mixes sweet aspirations with bitter drama. There’s no people like show people and there’s no telling what can happen when they’re pitted against each other. Nick Adams, Ed Asner, Carole Cook, Lee Meriwether, Patricia Richardson, Chita Rivera, Seth Rudetsky, Sally Struthers, Bruce Vilanch, and Cindy Williams round out this heartwarming homage to Broadway with some delightful cameos.

The performers of New York City are as varied as it’s inhabitants: the diva, the theatre queen, the soap star, and even a couple of strippers thrown in for good measure! There’s no people like show people (Thank God), and there’s no telling what can happen when they’re pitted against each other.

We are so excited to re-assemble the cast and songwriting team of Waiting In The Wings: The Musical and bring to you the sequel, Still Waiting In The Wings. We have many delightful cameos joining the cast and want to make sure we bring you the same quality production as our initial film. While $3,000 isn’t a high goal, this is the amount we absolutely need to pay for post production services. While we could cut corners, we need to make the highest quality film to show indy movie musicals can still be made and look like a million dollars!

Horror Meets A Retirement Home in Hotel Arthritis

Not since Bubba Ho-Tep has horror graced the halls of a retirement community…unless you count that one episode in the first season of “The Walking Dead.” But filmmaker Jason Lockhart is about to bring us another old folks home nightmare with Hotel Arthritis.

Directed by Lockhart, who also wrote the film with Jacqui Holland, Hotel Arthrits is a horror-comedy that stars Dawn Wells (MaryAnn on “Gilligan’s Island“) and John Tartaglia (Avenue Q). Also featured are Lee Meriwether of Catwoman fame, Camille Saviola, Jacqui Holland, Kiersten Warren, Rip Taylor and Bruce Vilanch.4

Synopsis
Senior citizens are being offed by a masked killer who stalks the halls of the small retirement community in which they live. The story opens with a terrifying murder, creating space on the waiting list for Rose to move in. Upon Rose’s arrival, she is taken on a tour of the grounds by the quirky, offbeat manager of the joint: Dale. The odd and brightly colored characters continue to pop up as Fanny, her Jewish gossiping neighbor, introduces Rose to “The Gang.” The routine of daily life is all stirred up at the moment. People are disappearing, there’s talk of a ghost, and to top things off, there’s an STD outbreak. As terror rises throughout the building, the fear of who’s next and who the killer may be, continues to grow. We find ourselves in a game of “Who-done-it?” Is it Desperella, the ground’s custodial manager? Is it Kitty, the sexy activities director? Or Zeke, her punk rock boyfriend? Maybe it’s one of the elder folks suffering from dementia or seeking some sort of revenge. Full of laughs and full of scares, you’ll be on the edge of your seats from the moment you enter the world of the Lake View Retirement Home: The place where people come to live… until they die!
