Phil Willmott’s production of the Off-Broadway revue Naked Boys Singing, originally seen at the King’s Head Theatre and subsequently at the Arts, will return for a fourth London run, beginning performances March 18 at the re-branded Charing Cross Theatre (formerly the New Players).
It will play a run of late-night weekend performances on Friday/Saturday nights only. Choreographed by Andrew Wright, the cast comprises Matt Beadle, Davis Brook, Callum Francis, Rudi Last, Drew Mason, Daniel Slade, Will Stokes and Nathan Taylor.
This 70-minute musical comedy revue features an original score of 16 songs celebrating the splendors of male nudity. It has been previously produced in London at Madame JoJos, a Soho nightclub, in 2001.
The score includes such numbers as “Fight the Urge,” “The Bliss of a Bris,” “Muscle Addiction,” “Nothing But the Radio On,” “Members Only” and “Window to Window.” The show’s contributing writers are Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Shelly Markham, Jim Morgan, David Pevsner, Rayme Sciaroni, Mark Savage, Ben Schaechter, Robert Schrock, Mark Winkler and Bruce Vilanch.
