Bruce Vilanch to perform

Get set for a night of laughter at 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, with the dynamic, hilarious and positively brilliant comic Bruce Vilanch at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center in a benefit performance for CAMP Rehoboth.

Vilanch comes to Rehoboth Beach from Hollywood, where he was once the quickest wit on “Hollywood Squares.”

On Broadway he’s played Edna Turnblad in the musical “Hairspray” and is known as one of the best and most outrageous comedy writers in the business. He’s written for Bette Midler, Whoopi Goldberg, Lily Tomlin, Billy Crystal and other superstars.

He’s also known as the magician in the wings – standing backstage at award shows including the Oscars, Tonys, Emmys and Grammys, watching events unfold and writing hilarious lines that sound like instant ad libs from the hosts.

Tickets for the show are $100 for table seating that includes a post-event meet & greet, and general admission tickets go for $75, $50 and $25.

Sponsorships are also available. Call CAMP Rehoboth at 302-227-5620 for more information.
