Highlights of Monday’s “Help Is On the Way X” fund-raiser for AIDS: Fans waiting five hours outside the Palace of Fine Arts stage door for Lucy Lawless, who sang songs from “Annie Get Your Gun”; Bruce Vilanch wore a pink tutu; and goodie bags contained garlic-flavored condoms from the Stinking Rose. (Volunteer Joanne Engelhardt overheard one guest saying, “I’m only here to get ideas for my next party.”)
P.S. At that Arnold Laub birthday party at the Ritz-Carlton, Eddie Fisher sang “You Made Me Love You,” Willie Brown sang a la Ike Turner, and Kazzy the party camel walked among them.

P.P.S. Patrick Swayze and his wife, Lisa Niemi, both pilots, flew their own plane from Los Angeles to Napa for the Wine Country Film Festival’s tribute to him on Sunday night. The event, at the Sequoia Grove Winery in Rutherford, featured their movie, “One Last Dance,” followed by a talk with Swayze and Niemi. The Q&A lasted until 2 a.m., and the Swayzes stayed an hour after that.
