Santa Cruz, today and Sunday. “Family Values” is the theme of the 30th annual rally and parade Sunday. Special guests include Mel White. See www.santacruzpride.org. San Jose, June 12-13. “Many Faces, One Community” events begin with a community day in the park Saturday and the 29th annual parade on Sunday. Headliners Sunday include singer Joan Jett and comedian Kate Clinton. See www.sjgaypride.org.
San Francisco, June 26-27. “Out 4 Justice” features actor Alan Cumming as grand marshal for the 34th annual parade Sunday, along with Bruce Vilanch, currently performing in “Hairspray,” and Mayor Gavin Newsom. Headliners include Chaka Khan and comedian Graham Norton. See www.sfpride.org .
