Hey Vilanchites:
I am proud to announce, officially, that Mister V will be heading for Broadway to play Edna Turnblad in the hit musical, Hairspray, beginning October 5th for at least a 6 month run! He will be replacing Michael McKeon.
This is great news for Mr. Vilanch who has been on the road in the touring version of the musical since last September. I’ve been fortunate enough to catch him in the beginning and then more recently in Chicago. Bruce has become quite the seasoned performer and has made the character Edna his own. He’s great, the cast is great, the musicals great, and the audiences have responded in-kind.
Those of you who have not seen him yet…please do so if he comes near your town…and if you miss it, start making your reservations on the Great White Way now!
Speaking of touring, Mister V and the cast of Hairspray will begin rocking the aisles in San Diego tomorrow night thru July 18th. Don’t wait or hesitate…grab the tickets while you have a chance…
