Entertainers Bruce Vilanch and Allee Willis, two of the quirkiest, most prolific creative talents on the planet will take the stage at the Avalon Hollywood Tuesday November 13, 2012 for an evening of love, laughter and libation to benefit the programs and initiatives of PAWS/LA. Special guest and fellow quipster Wendy Liebman will open the show.
The evening will feature a lively question and answer-style conversation with Bruce Vilanch, an award-winning comedy writer, songwriter and actor and one of the most sought-after jokesmiths in the industry. He is an iconic Hollywood figure known for his wicked wit and dedicated support of various charitable causes.
Allee Willis, an award-winning songwriter, artist, director, performer, multi-mediaist, director, party thrower and the undisputed “Queen of Kitsch,” will conduct the Q&A. Willis’ songs including Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” and The Rembrandts’ “I’ll Be There For You (Theme From Friends)” have sold more than 50 million records. She also co-authored the stage version of The Color Purple, which is currently nominated for 13 Ovation Awards.
Stand-up comic Wendy Liebman, who has appeared on The Larry Sanders Show on HBO, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson will kick off the evening with her signature comedy stylings!
